MORE HYDRATING THAN HYALURONIC ACID: Squalane and beta glucan, which are 20% more hydrating than hyaluronic acid, deeply hydrate the skin while a blend of ceramides and fatty acids lock in moisture to prevent transepidermal water loss.
SKIN BARRIER SUPPORT: Formulated with 5 ceramides to help maintain the skin’s natural function while ceramide precursors encourage the skin’s natural lipid production. Over time, this serum will leave the skin hydrated, supple and comfortable.
SOOTHES SIGNS OF IRRITATION: This hydrating, moisture-locking serum helps restore comfort to sensitive and sensitized skin while supporting a healthy skin barrier.
INSTANTLY ABSORBS DAILY SERUM: This lightweight serum absorbs instantly. It can be layered with other products, including retinol and vitamin c. After cleansing and toning, gently massage or pat 2-3 drops of serum onto skin up to 2 times a day.
DERMATOLOGIST TESTED: Cocokind skincare products are dermatologist tested to be safe for all skin types, even sensitive or sensitized skin, cruelty-free, fragrance free, and vegan.
LONG-LASTING: Most of our products have a shelf life of about 12 months after opening. On the bottom of every product box, we list a POA (period after opening) symbol. It should look like a little open jar with a number and the letter M (months). This will help you determine how long each product is good for after opening.

Saved My Skin Barrier
I bought this serum after dealing with dry, irritated skin from over-exfoliating, and it’s been a total lifesaver. My skin felt tight, flaky, and just overall uncomfortable, and I needed something that would calm everything down without making things worse. This serum is lightweight but really nourishing. It goes on smoothly and sinks in quickly without feeling greasy or heavy. Within just a few days of using it consistently, I noticed my skin was softer, less red, and way more comfortable. It feels like it actually helps repair and strengthen my skin instead of just masking dryness.I also really appreciate that it’s fragrance-free and gentle enough for sensitive skin. I’ve had no reactions, and it layers well with other products in my routine. If your skin ever feels stressed, stripped, or in need of extra support, I definitely recommend this. It’s become one of those products I always want to have on hand.

Very effective for dry skin.
This stuff is awesome at hydrating. I have dry dry dryyyy perimenopausal skin, aggravated by acne-creams (wrinkles and acne; the joys of aging). I have very sensitive, acne prone skin and can’t use any occlusive creams with ingredients like Shea or cocoa butter, isopropyl myristate/palmitate, palmitic acid, or any other palm-oil serviced ingredients, which seem to be in ALL formulas for dry skin. But these drops don’t break me out and have helped me get rid of any flakiness/tightness from my dry skin. I’ve recommended this to many other sensitive, dry skin friends, so if you’re in that fun boat with us, give this a try!

Effective high quality product for excellent price – buy it
Summary: I LOVE this ceramide serum. I’ve been using it consistently for years and I’ve tried other more expensive or high end options (I’m a total skincare nerd) and none have measured up in effectiveness, texture, or price. You seriously cannot get anything this effective or of this quality for anything even remotely close to this price, or maybe even at all. It’s perfect for dry and sensitive skin and for healing a broken or disrupted skin barrier. It is great to layer under or over retinoid products that can be drying, especially when first starting retinoids or when leveling up their potency. The serum is light, silky, milky, and soothing, not sticky or greasy. It fits really nicely into my routine, and I can actually feel and see the difference it makes when I use it. If you are unsure, trust me, just try it. At this price, it’s a no-brainer.More Detail:First of all, Cocokind is an all-around excellent brand who focuses heavily on using high-quality ingredients, simplicity, and effectiveness, rather than fancy marketing or packaging. They’re generally able to deliver an exceptional product that rivals other luxury and high-end brands at prices that are just unheard of. Truly a feel-good brand aiming to make quality skincare accessible for everyone. What’s not to love?Second of all, let me talk about this serum specifically. If there was a con, it would be the dropper bottle packaging, which I think is one of the most annoying and problematic serum packaging options ever. It makes consistent and conservative dosing difficult, which basically means I often end up using too much, and I inevitably end up touching the dropper to either my face or my hand, which increases the risk of introducing bacteria to the rest of the bottle. I would definitely prefer a pump, but for some reason the dropper delivery system is extremely popular across the whole skincare industry, and for cocokind, it is a cheaper option, which in part allows them to sell it for such a reasonable price. Honestly, the quality, price, and effectiveness is so good that the dropper is barely worth mentioning, which is why I didn’t dock a star.Personal experience with the product:I have very dry and sensitive skin, so in the winter or if traveling to a drier climate, I would not be exaggerating to say that it actually saves my skin.I’m from the DC area, and I first tried this serum on a snowboarding trip to Utah a few winters ago. Even before the trip my skin was super dry and struggling, but I hadn’t tried this serum yet. Once I spent a day or two in the super arid, high-altitude winter weather in Utah, my skin was painfully parched, cracking, flaking, and super irritated. It was so dry that it was inflamed and highly reactive to basically everything I put on it, including my basic moisturizers. I had bought this serum on the recommendation of a popular dermatologist YouTuber and brought it with me since my skin was already not feeling great. [side note: if you care about your skin, her content is EXTREMELY helpful and trust worthy. check her out @shereeneidriss).The first time I tried this serum the rest of my skincare was either useless or harmful considering the condition of my skin, and I felt immediate relief in just one application. By the third or fourth day (mind you, Im out in the elements snowboarding, taking care of kids, etc — not babying my skin with mud and cucumbers) my skin was back to its calm and comfortable state, no longer chapped or cracked at all, and I was shocked. It single handedly healed my skin.Sometimes I take breaks when my barrier is doing well and I’m in humid places, but the second it feels irritated or dry this serum is what gets it and keeps it healthy.I wish I had taken before and after photos, but in my pain and panic, product reviews weren’t really on my mind. Hope this helps others out there struggling with sensitive, dry, and reactive skin!

Everyday staple
I have gone through several bottles of Cocokind’s Ceramide Barrier Serum. I use this nightly as part of my routine. It helps me keep my skin soft and in good shape following exfoliation. A winter staple.

Good serum, just not for me
I’m between 3 and 4 stars on this serum. I want to like it for several reasons – fragrance free, goes on nicely and doesn’t pill, clean ingredients. But it stings my skin a bit. I do have sensitive skin, and I also use tretinoin. This was recommended on several reddit threads so thought I’d try it. Maybe just not the right serum for me.

Feeling Hydrated and Refreshed!
This serum feels lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed without any greasy residue. Gentle enough for sensitive skin, and I’ve noticed a subtle improvement in texture and glow after a few uses.
