Decent cream, not sure if it does everything it claims but OK moisturizing and scent
I used to be the kind of person that only used body cream/lotion in the dry and cold months. Aging skin has caused my skin to be drier year-round, and therefore I’m finding myself applying moisturizer of some sort after every bath or shower. With any cream or lotion, the main things I look for are texture, absorption, and lasting effect. Scent and container aren’t as important, but they do factor in to whether I use up the product and re-order.Unless a product is specifically marketed to be used on the face, I generally avoid applying to my face and stick to other areas of the body-primarily arms, legs, and hands. Such is the case for this body creme. It has a very faint vanilla scent that lingers for a little while, but not really all day. The texture is thicker than most lotions but not so thick to be difficult to spread easily on the skin. It comes in a very heavy glass jar, which I suppose for some is a sign of a “high end” product. Personally, I prefer my body creams to be presented in a tube or jar as these help provide easy application without the risk of breakage. I’m quite clumsy so this is maybe more of a “me” problem. The manufacturer has offset the fear of contamination of the product by providing a spatula that snaps into the inner lid. I appreciate this effort but with the relatively small amount of product (4.23 oz), I decided the spatula is really not needed so I just scoop into my hands and apply.After application, the product doesn’t feel sticky or greasy which is a huge bonus. It absorbs relatively quickly into the skin (3-4 minutes) and leaves it feeling soft. With some creams and lotions, the softening/moisturizing effect lasts all day and I can tell at night the hydration continues. With this, I don’t really notice that as much. I’ve used the product for a few weeks and will continue to do so until it’s all gone. I can’t really say there are any long-term benefits or that it does everything claimed on the product page. However, it is a decent cream that leaves my skin feeling nice. The price point ($19.99) seems a little steep for the amount of product and the fact that its effects are fairly standard.

I got this for the wife and she really likes it, so much so that she got one for her best friend as a gift. She finds the cream not all greasy and heavy and the fragrance is mildly florally/fruity without being sickly sweet. Applying this has become a daily ritual after her shower. Especially during the cold months when the air is dry because of heating. I like it since it’s relatively inexpensive for the quantity provided, much cheapeer than some of the brand name products she’s tried.
