A Pale Girl’s Honest Review
Got it to refill my red TIRTIR Cushion since it seemed wasteful to keep purchasing a new cushion as often as I was. So far this foundation seems to wear and be the same formulation as the cushion form. The packaging feels sturdy and the pump is actually functional and makes refilling the cushion easy. The coverage is medium-buildable with a natural finish, looks skin like and gives you a lit from within look without looking too dewy or greasy. You can make it more matte with a matte setting powder. It is definitely not transfer proof, and can feel sticky with a heavier primer/moisturizer without a light dusting of powder. I have get to find a foundation that is transfer proof and the finish is worth it in my opinion. It still lasts 10hrs or so hours and imo looks even better as the day goes on and the natural oils start to come through. When I do have a high transfer day (side eyes boyfriend), it’s so easy to touch up with the cushion and doesn’t do the weird pilling or removing some foundations do with re-application.I do need a good moisturizer and hydrating primer during the colder months otherwise it can look weird on my combo skin (dry patches in between my eyebrows and forehead of all places). Depending on what skincare actives I’m using it can also look weird and heavy around my mouth as the day goes on, but that could be due to a lot of things or just age. I do prefer the cushion applicator over a beauty blender or brush, I swear their cushion sponge applicator is made with magic. It’s easier to control coverage with less product and build coverage when needed with their cushion applicator, and when I’ve used other application types the foundation looks heavy and weird.My biggest complaint with this foundation, the cushion, and every other foundation I try is the shade range (I hope they continue to extend). I’m a pale girl (my sisters call me Casper) with neutral-slight olive undertones so it’s so frustrating finding shades in foundations that work for me. The 13N Fair Ivory is the right tone, but just a smidge dark so I mix in a white base (LA Girl Pro in White is my go-to). The 10C Shell is too light and pink for me, the 11C Cool Rosy is comically pink on me. It’s still my go-to foundation for every day and even events with more product.

Tones classification are way off from reality
Ok so my 1st order was the tone 28N it was straight orange, decided to try 24N and guess what? it’s still orange! It does feel nice on the skin and looks smooth but the clasification for tones are way off. I have melasma and definitely it’s not full coverage.UpdateDecided to order one of the lighter shades (21N Ivory) but is too light. Has to mix 2 of them for a better match and did 3 layers in order to get the melasma almost completely covered. Usually I do 2 thin layers of the IT CC cream and if the spots are still visible (some days they are darker 😔) I use a concealer (for tone reference I use Med (N) on the cc or sometimes Light Med (W) ). After comparing the 3 IMO 21N is light with peachy undertone, 24N is med with warm yellow undertone and 28N is med with almost like an olive undertone. If I could find my perfect match I’ll keep it, even when I used 3 layers it feels nice on the skin and it doesn’t look cakey or accentuate my pores on my mature skin, it actually have a nice glow that make the face look healthy.

Good quality for sensitive skin
Im incredibly pale with sensitive skin and always have issues finding foundations with a good formula. I first tried the second shade from the lightest since I am a little pink, but the shade oxidized a tad and i looked like a flamingo for a sec…I returned then reordered the lightest shade, and its perfect! The formula is great and actually feels like it benefits my skin instead of roughing it up. It feels incredibly light. Although I will say it has a slight fragrance. I get a lot of migraines and am also very sensitive to smell, and Im somehow able to tolerate this scent. Ill keep my fingers crossed but so far so good!

Amazing foundation for the over 50’s doesn’t sink into wrinkles, has an airbrush effect and is medium to full coverage as it builds very well, as well as being long lasting. I find it lightweight with just the right texture as it blends really well. I ordered the colour match kit before buying but I don’t think Amazon sell these anymore but it was only a few shades anyway. I would advise ordering the smaller one to get the right match. I went with ivory normally I’m more of a beige. However the ivory is still slightly dark for me but not noticeably but next time I’d go for light ivory. Foundations are like hairdressers, it takes a long time and you spend a fortune finding the right one, but for me this is it. The only thing people could find a bit of a faff is getting the right shade. But personally I think it’s worth it because now I’ve found this I have stopped buying every foundation on the market that claims to be perfect for mature skin

21W cushion is a bit too light for me in summer, so bought 24W, which is within their “light” shade category and it turned out to be so olive it basically looks like mud. and so hard to blend, with a foundation buff, flat brush, sponge, and with fingers. nothing works well enough – it gets patchy. bought 22N to balance the muddy tones but 22N is pinkish but still pretty dark. I have no idea how to apply it, tried to mix it with BB, other lighter foundations and with skincare cream, which is probably the best way to not get a muddy mask effect on your face.good coverage if your skin is uneven.
