I am impressed with the RoseSkinCo products – they come in a nice box, glossy, foiled, luxe looking and weighty.The device is nice looking and feeling as well. The finishes are high end feeling and the device feels sturdy. The instructions are pretty thorough and it’s easy to get started using it. The cord on the ac adapter is pretty long- for some that will be a perk, for others, it can be a downside. It’s a little hard to wrangle so much cord – I have it bound up with a hair tie, but I’d like to get something more fitting for holding cords.I tested it on one leg, one bikini line side and one under arm, so I would have a control group to judge effectiveness against. I followed all the instructions for skin prep and starting out on the lowest setting. I am pretty fair skinned with medium to dark brown body hair. For the first week, it felt like nothing was happening, as pretty much expected. Laser hair removal is a game of patience. Thankfully, I received this in the winter, so my experiment was allowed to run for a while.By the time I’d stepped up to level 3, I could tell something was happening. Initially, I was concerned as I could smell what seemed like hair burning, but there was nothing happening to my skin and I had no discomfort so I kept going.After 2 months, the progress was noticeable. And I wasn’t even doing it as consistently as I should have. There was less hair, and the hair that was there was finer.I have now started on both legs to try to even myself out and I am being more consistent with treatment. While I don’t expect to be 100% hair free, as that’s not even really a think with professional laser hair removal, I’m pleased with the reduced density and would recommend the device.Now, for the cons- it doesn’t have a storage bag or a cleaning cloth for the laser glass. And, this is a big one. I think it should come with eye protection. The instructions say to look away when using it, but it is bright. Even with my head turned and my eyes closed, I get after images in my peripheral vision from when it flashes. I had to make sure I was well away from any mirrors or reflective surfaces as well.

IPL laser hair removal device
I picked up this RoseSkin Co Lumi IPL Laser Hair Removal Device because I’ve had good luck with professional laser hair removal. If the do-it-yourself version works, why not? I’ve been trying this on my armpits 2x week as directed in the instructions for multiple weeks now and honestly haven’t noticed a huge difference. I know it can take months to work though so I’ll keep at it to see what happens.The device itself is easy to use. The cord is long and you just turn it to the desired level with one button and pulse the laser with the other. You are supposed to gradually increase the level from 1-6. On the 2 lowest settings I couldn’t feel it at all, but after that the feeling was noticeable. It’s just a quick pulse of heat.The device is ergonomic enough and easy to hold. It comes in a decent storage box and has a lens wipe cloth as well.

This is actually a pretty good laser hair removal device, but it does have a few drawbacks. It’s super easy to use, just plug it in and select the mode, depending on the area being handled. It fits well in the hand, doesn’t irritate the skin after use, and it’s not greasy because you don’t need to use any lotions underneath. The cord does tend to get in the way sometimes, and because it has to be plugged in it’s not very portable, you have to ensure an outlet is nearby. Price point is on the higher end of average for laser hair removal devices
