I love that this serum is formulated for overnight/PM use to help your skin repair as you sleep (which is when your skin is doing its natural repair work, this serum boosts that). The instructions state to cleanse your face, then use this and follow up with a moisturizer. The serum is a milky color and has a thicker viscous texture, not watery at all. One pump is sufficient for my face and neck. It spreads easily with a silky feeling and absorbs well. It does have some beneficial oils in it so it does impart a nice glow to the skin post application.In the AM, my skin is more hydrated and my complexion is brighter. It is supposed to take 2 weeks to see results start to appear and 6 weeks to see improvement in wrinkles/fine lines, but your mileage may vary.This is a luxury product and so the cost may not fit every budget. The formulation is elegant and includes expensive to manufacture and formulate ingredients like encapsulated slow release copper peptides, colloidal gold and biomimetic peptides all with biotech delivery systems for increased efficacy/absorption. Other functional ingredients include a bunch of botanical extracts, beneficial seed oils (jojoba, rosehip), lactic acid, glycolic acid, kojic acid, allantoin, HA and gluconolactone. It is made in the USA.I appreciate that it has no added fragrance/scent and is gentle on sensitive skin as a retinol alternative. It is also vegan, cruelty-free, and is free of parabens, mineral oil, triclosan and gluten. It is designed to be refilled, which is great! The bottle itself is a gorgeous glass with beautiful branding (love the logo!!).If this fits your skin care budget, it definitely is worth a try. It is an innovative formulation!

Okay but pricey
I’m a skincare addict who was raised by a true skincare queen so I know good stuff and I know scams. This is a good serum- I’m in my late 30s and I know when something is and isn’t working. This layers on well, doesn’t leave a film or residue, soaks in well, and does not cause any irritation. There’s no annoying scent. I have two issues with it- the first is that the bottle for mine was not correctly connected and it took time to make it work. At this price point, I should not be receiving poorly packaged items. The second issue is the price point- this serum is very expensive and you can find better results for cheaper. Do I think it’s effective? It didn’t hurt my skin nor did I see any wrinkles progress in the 3 months I used it but I didn’t see any wrinkle reversal either. I don’t think it’s bad, but it’s not worth what it costs.

slight allergy issue to this
Awful for me, while it felt moisturizing, i broke out in hives 3 times while using it. It is non-greasy and absorbs pretty quick, but 15 min later on 3 seperate occaisions developed hives. not allergic to any of the ingredients so not sure what it is. maybe hyper sensative people avoid, sad because it feels great on my skin.

Very subtle scent
I’m sensitive to scents, which is one reason I usually avoid facial products, but this is different. It has almost a faint, fruity smell, not perfumey at all. I like to wet my face before applying it, as that makes it spread easier, and can make one pump of serum go over my whole face. I tried using two pumps, but that went on a little too thick and I wanted to pat down my face afterwards with a damp washcloth, so I think less is more with this.Looking at the ingredients, I was concerned at the long, chemical sounding names, but looking them up online, they all appear to be very low risk, common things to include in cosmetics, and not microplastics as I feared. I don’t mind the preservatives, either, because I’d rather it last a long time and not get mold, so those make it safer.So basically, this is a luxury product at a luxury price. I little goes a long way, and it’s good at smoothing lines and plumping skin.

Most expensive serum I’ve ever used
How can I review the Nocturnal Polar Night Renewal Serum without first addressing the product value? At the time of my review, the cost is $184 USD per one (1) ounce or 30ml. After I took a second to think “How lucky am I?” to try it, I got to work. I used it in the morning and evening, every day. The results are that supposedly 100% of users will experience a reduction in lines and wrinkles after 6 weeks of daily use. The instructions to use 2-3 pumps meant that I would likely blow through this product very quickly.The serum absorbs very easily into the skin. The texture is like plantscription but fragrance-free. It feels really nice on my face but it doesn’t linger in the sense that I have leftover product to spread onto my neck. While I loved using the serum, I did not notice a remarkable change in my face. What does this mean? Am I too young for this? Perhaps I don’t yet have enough wrinkles to see a difference? Maybe I don’t think I’m ready for this jelly?The serum made me excited about taking care of my skin and it was a lovely, luxury experience. That is what I am basing my rating on.

An effective night serum that WORKS!
As a male in the late 30s, I didn’t have much of any skin care routine but tried this night serum for the past week and have been waking up and noticing my face is smooth, more firmer, and pores have seem to be smaller!The product itself is a non-oily texture with a balanced viscosity that isn’t too thick or thin. I find one pump covers my face with ease that absorbs an ample layer within 1-2 minutes so applying a moisturizer can be done shortly after. The presentation and bottle also have an elegant, regal touch which evokes an excitement to use it repetitively.I’m truly happy it’s shown results within a week. A good rest is everything, and knowing that I have an ethical and powerfully formulated night serum for my face is assuring to know it’s working hard when I’m not. Starting the day with your skin feeling hydrated and supple radiates a positive confidence and that goes a long way. I would highly recommend this night serum for your skin care as it’s been an effective improvement for me!
