Great product
I have been using this mascara for years and hope they never discontinue it. Normally I buy higher end face creams, foundation, and other cosmetics, etc, but as many other reviewers say, this is just one terrific mascara. Goes on easily, one light coat first on the right and then left, wiggle the brush to separate, and go back for two more passes if I want a longer and more pronounced look. I try not to let it dry between coats as it’s easier to worth with. It does NOT flake. The water resistance is good although I do run a tissue beneath my eyes if I’m sweating from exercise as occasionally I’ll see a light shadow. Removal with any waterproof mascara is a bit of a pain, but inexpensive baby oil works fine, let is soften, then carefully wipe off. Love it.

As good as They’re Real!!
I am truly surprised to see this mascara rated with anything less than 4 stars. Let me preface with this – I am an unabashed make-up snob. I like high-end stuff. I had been using Benefit They’re Real Mascara since the day it hit the market. Loved it – it’s PERFECT mascara (as it should be, for over $20/tube). Then while traveling a few months ago, my luggage decided to go somewhere else, and I ended up borrowing this from a friend. It’s nearly identical to They’re Real in how it applies (easy, no clumps, one coat does it and dries quickly), what it does (long, skinny, defined wall of fluttery lashes), how it wears (all darn day, no flaking), and how it comes off (it’s stubborn, you need remover and take your time). When I found out I could buy a whole year’s worth of this for the cost of one tube of Benefit, this snob got over herself.I will say, the brush does seem weird at first – so bendy, you think you won’t ever be able to get enough friction going to coat and lengthen your lashes. You will, unless you are 100% unskilled or completely new to mascara application. If you can’t handle the brush – your loss – this product is a total gem!

Best Drug Store Mascara!
I have oily skin and all mascaras smear on me and go on my top eyelids and give me raccoon eyes. This mascara doesn’t do that (waterproof only). It keeps its curl after using an eyelash curler. Doesn’t clump. Gives length and enough volume. I’ve used this mascara for at least 8 years and all of a sudden I can’t find the waterproof version in stores. So I went on the hunt for another mascara and none of them lived up to this one. So glad I was able to find it on Amazon.

Staying power galore
This mascara won’t budge, crying, water rides & rain. It’s does however need a good melting balm to get it off. Eyelashes are a little stiff, but do separate nicely. No clumping at all.

Crazy length and separation
I absolutely love this mascara. It was exactly what I was looking for. I was wearing fake lashes for a while to grow my lashes out after they were damaged by crappy mascara. Now they’re finally growing and this mascara is making me feel so much better about them!The only thing is that I wish it was darker. Like it had a bit more of an impact. But other than that it’s perfect!

Why pay $20 for mascara that doesn’t perform as well as this?
I’ve tried some very high end mascara & I always come back to this. I must always use waterproof mascara or I look like I’ve been rubbing my eyes by the end of the day & my lashes fall flat. I use my Shu Uemura lash curler (worth buying online for $20) & this mascara every day. If I really want to add more volume for a special occasion I’ll add a coat of Loreal Voluminous Waterproof for extra volume/intensity. This mascara adds nice length, separation & stays put without flaking or clumping. Also, for the price, you don’t have to feel bad throwing it out after 2 or 3 months for the health of your eyes. Trust me, I spent a fortune to take steroid & prednisone drops for months due to an eye irritation & it’s not worth it! Throw that stuff out!

Water resistant but not smudge proof
This mascara is just so so. It is difficult to remove even with make up remover. However, by the end of the day, I look like a raccoon because it smudges all over my make up. I would not recommend it. My regular mascara that is not waterproof does not smudge onto my make up and it’s easy to clean with soap & water. It also goes on very light, so you can barely see it. I would not recommend this mascara.
