Wow, IT WORKS!!!
This is my second bottle of this. I bought the first at Whole Foods, on an impulse. Heard it was a good one, and wanted to try it, because I’d been disappointed in other, cheaper Vit C serums in the past. My skin is clear and in good shape, though I spent a lot of time in the sun when I was younger. I don’t reallyhave any deep wrinkles…it’s just that when you get past your 30’s, you lose that youthful glow….and I have some very fine lines…so, I usually am using at least one exfoliating anti aging product. While using this, I used it alone, because I wanted to see if it really made a difference. After washing my face, I’d apply this serum, a little eye cream, and then if it was morning, my makeup. I used the entire bottle, down to the last drop, so I feel I can give an honest review.One, it works, and quickly. Within a week or so, I saw a smoother texture to my skin. By the end of the bottle, my skin definitely looked smoother, brighter, and 3 darker spots on my face (sun damage) were at least 80% lighter. I have one on my right cheek and two on my jawline, that I would cover with concealer. Amazingly, they are almost gone. Two, it’s pleasant and easy to use. Not really luxurious, and has no scent, but who cares if it works? The serum has an almost watery texture, and sinks in fast. A few drops go a long way. I spread it over my face, neck and chest after cleansing at night, and sometimes – though not always – applied in the AM as well. Three, I had no breakouts or irritation from this product. I applied it everywhere, including my upper eyelids…but I don’t recommend that, especially if you have sensitive skin.I bought my second bottle from Amazon, I think it was the same price, but I see right now that it’s priced at several dollars less. Will definitely keep using this, and maybe even try more products from this company. Highly recommended.Edited to add: due to my positive experience with this product, I decided to go with the company’s recommendation to use the stronger Vitamin A serum at night and use the Vitamin C in the AM. I know there are some negative reviews here, and wish people would describe their skin condition before leaving reviews. Possibly if one has really deep wrinkles or extensive aging or sun damage, the effects of these products are going to be minimal, or take a lot longer to show results.

I’ve been using the Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum for a few weeks now, and it’s become a staple in my routine. The serum has a lightweight texture that absorbs quickly without feeling heavy or greasy on the skin.It leaves my skin noticeably soft with mild hydration that pairs well under moisturizer. What stands out most is how it helped calm my acne prone skin fewer breakouts overall, and importantly, it didn’t trigger any new ones, which is rare for vitamin C products with sensitive or reactive skin like mine.The sodium ascorbyl phosphate form seems gentle yet effective for brightening without irritation. I’ll definitely repurchase!

Miracle product, worth the price!
Amazing product. I spent weeks researching Vitamin C products, and although this was on my mind from the very beginning due to the high praise it received on the skin care reddit, I was wary of the price (found myself tempted by the other cheaper options on amazon), and all of the warnings posted everywhere online about how Vitamin C is too unstable and expires too quickly for it to be worth the money unless you make it yourself, use a specific combination, etc., etc. As someone who has no time to make my own products, nor the patience for when DIY potition-concocting inevitably goes wrong, I decided to take the plunge and buy the product after months of it taunting me on my wish list.I’m happy to say that results were visible for me in just a few days, applying only nightly. I’ve been using the product for a couple of weeks now, and the texture of my skin (combination, acneic, large pores), is completely changing. I suffered from intense hormonal acne and PIH last year, as well as some scarring on my cheeks. This product is helping clear up the PIH and evening out skin tone, even around the scarred areas (though the scars of course remain, it is helping the skin look better overall). Delivery was prompt and there were no problems with the packaging. I’ve been keeping the bottle stored on a cool and dark shelf away from sunlight, inside the original box it came in, as an extra precaution against sun damage (lol).If you have sensitive skin like me, I would just recommend reducing the application to 1x daily or 1x every other day when you feel your skin drying out. Overall, I would 100% recommend the serum for people with texture/tone issues, perhaps even acne. I will try to upload photos once I get the chance.

Great for acne — not so great for skin brightening
This kind of vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate / SAP) has been a game changer for my acne. It clears it up quickly which is great. However, it doesn’t do anything for brightening my skin. I had better luck with that using the 3-0 ethyl ascorbic acid kind of vitamin C. I will say when I initially tried this my skin was super itchy for about 2 weeks and then it completely stopped. I guess I had to get used to this kind of vitamin C. This is my second time buying it and it soaks in quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky residue which is a plus.

I’ve been trying to find a serum that works for my skin for SO long, this one is amazing! I’ve had ones in the past burn/irritate my skin, or not have any noticeable difference on my skin. This absorbs very quickly, leaves my skin smooth and soft, and has not irritated it at all. I’ve only been using it for a week and it is causing my skin to purge (getting some acne on my jawline/cheeks), however despite that I am already seeing results. It also has a nice scent, and I like that it isn’t super runny like other serums I’ve tried.
