HOW TO USE: ① Remove the film from the lower mask. ② Apply the lower mask to your chin, aligning the center cut with the middle of your chin. The best K-beauty essence (in my opinion) now available in gel form
Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Tea Essence is probably one of the best K-beauty products available and is beloved for a reason. It’s one of my personal favorites and I love the idea of having it in a longer-wearing gel mask for intensive application.I love that the mask is made of dissolvable hydrogel, which makes it both environmentally friendly compared to standard sheet masks and also gives the product lots of time to absorb into your skin if you are using this overnight or on a lazy day. I also like that the textured/embossed side (which you place against your skin) works sort of like velcro to help the mask adhere better (gel masks are notorious for slipping; especially the bottom part.)That said, the design didn’t work as well for me as I hoped. While the bottom section definitely stays in place, I didn’t love the way the top sectors overlapped. You can’t feel it once on, but I felt it took longer to apply than other gel masks I’ve tried. BUT, since it didn’t move AT ALL during the many hours I wore it, I think the pros outweigh the cons. I also didn’t find the top piece to fit my particular face type well (wide with a small, sloped nose), and I had to not fully adhere the area between the nose and mouth in order or it would lay on top of my lips. It also didn’t fully cover my nose (see unsettled pic of me looking like Jas*n).Since everyone’s face is different and what fits me may not fit you, I never deduct stars for that. I just think the whole v-cut lifting idea isn’t necessarily my favorite for my own face. That said, the tear lines provided ensure a more customized fit than is standard, and the imperfect fit wouldn’t be enough to prevent me from repurchasing.The mask feels cooling the entire time it’s on, since the cooling aspect comes from the mask itself and not something like peppermint oil. Once it’s on you really don’t feel it, and the lack of slippage makes it one of the best masks I’ve ever used for multitasking. It’s a perfect for doing chores around the house or binge-watching a series. Like the essence itself, it has no added fragrance and smells like nothing (my favorite type of product, especially for long-wear things like masks).The essence itself is SO GOOD and one of the most hydrating essences I know of, like a serum and moisturizer all-in-one. It leaves skin glowy, firm, and plump. It is also one of those products that help your skin to better absorb subsequent products, so this is definitely great to apply before doing your regular routine. That said, since it’s based on ferments, it may not match all skintypes, and sensitive and acne-prone skin should definitely patch test before using. This is a great way to trial the essence, or to get a big dose if you are already a fan.The directions state to leave it on for 20-30 minutes like a standard masks, but gel masks can keep delivering more benefits the longer you wear them. I wore mine for most of the day, but keep in mind that I know already that my skin loves this essence and it’s not going to give me trouble. For your first use after a successful patch test, I’d advise starting with the 20 min and seeing how it goes before jumping into a longer session.Hope that helps!

Glowy and hydrated finish to the skin
I’ve been a longtime fan of Dr. Ceuracle and I always recommend their vegan kombucha line for my friends and family. I was very intrigued about their gel mask from the same line and decided to try them out as my skin has been feeling quite irritated lately from all the cold and wind. This hydrogel mask comes in two pieces and is on the thinner side, which allows the mask to easily mold to the contours of the face. I do feel the mask is a little on the smaller side but you can find some wiggle room since the mask comes in two pieces. Like their famed Kombucha Tea Essence, these masks also contain kombucha tea extract, which is rich in probiotics and vitamin B5. The glutathione also helps impart a lovely glowy finish on my skin and deeply hydrates to keep skin plump and soft.

I’ve tried this face mask when my skin was feeling dry and dull, and it delivered a noticeable boost in hydration. The gel texture feels cooling on application, and the mask adheres well to the face, making it easy to wear without slipping. After use, my skin looked more plump, supple, and refreshed! I also like that it includes ingredients like kombucha, green tea, and niacinamide, which I’m pretty sure helps to support the skin barrier. Overall, a great option for a quick hydration boost and calming treatment, especially for dry or tired skin. Go ahead, treat yo’self 🙂

KOMBUCHA did a NUMBER on me
This mask is packed with antioxidants, which makes it perfect for promoting a radiant complexion. Each mask is sufficiently soaked in serum and feels incredibly comfortable on the face. It adheres nicely without slipping and sliding.After I removed the first time, I noticed how hydrated it left my skin. My skin was soft and supple. After the fourth mask, my skin was brighter and more even toned. It is instantly cooling, and I am happy with my results after 2 weeks. I used it twice a week and loved the results. Overall, an effective, hydrating mask.

Very hydrating
I love hydrogel masks. I find them so much easier to fit my face, and non-itchy. For some reason, the paper ones make me itchy. I’m also a huge fan of Dr Ceraucle’s Kombucha Tea Toner. It’s a regular staple in my daily routine. So these masks were a no brainer for me.The mask has two pieces, the upper portion which ends under the nose, and the chin portion, which is like a strap. The two pieces allow people who have giant heads like me, to create a more bespoke fit. I use the two little patches from the eyeholes around the upper portion of my eyelids. There’s a textured side, and it’s supposed to be the side against your skin, but I use the smooth side.The mask itself is not crazy juicy, and I like that. I’m not a fan when there’s so much serum in the mask that it drips all over the place. This mask has enough serum to hydrate my skin, but it’s not drippy.It’s effective in adding lots of hydration to dry and dehydrated skin. I haven’t seen any other benefit, since quite honestly, I’d have to wear one every day for a long time, to see any long term benefits. But that is not because this product is not good. On the contrary, this mask is excellent. It’s because using a mask once a week can’t possibly bring enough changes to my skin. I’ve used all four masks, and I haven’t seen any change in brightness or any other changes in my appearance, other than my skin is much more hydrated. The masks are well made, but the value is not quite there, at least for me.
