Best eyeshadow stick I have tried
The best eyeshadow stick I have ever tried. It applies so easily, and stays the entire day. But it’s also not too difficult to take off. The colors are absolutely beautiful not too red or gold. I am wearing au natural and soirée in this picture.

Small but smooth
Color is great, smooth application, it’s a little on the small size compared to other shadow sticks, but quality not quantity.

It doesn’t come off until you wash it off
This eyeshadow stays on really really well. It goes on creamy and smooth and doesn’t go in the crease of your eye – at least not my eyelids which are older and not as oily as they used to be. For me this stuff just doesn’t budge until you wash it off.

Not the same color as past formulations.
The product came in the original box and on time. The seller clearly took the time to ensure the product was of new quality. This was one of multiple orders I’ve made in the past of the same product and color, but from different sellers. However, the color is clearly not the same. I suppose it’s been reformulated, but now it’s mostly just gold, more glittery than shimmer, and very little rose color. It doesn’t stick, but runs up into the eye creases regardless of using a base or not. The seller may not have known this, but I can only recommend not to buy this color at all unless you like these changes. Sadly, I didn’t discover this until it was too late for a return. A very expensive lesson!

Care when opening!
My item arrived undamaged and I opened it carefully so as not to knock the product out onto the ground. The color–amethyst–is lovely. Nice pigment load and right amount of sparkle for what I wanted. My perimenopausal eyelids are so happy with how it just glides on with no pulling or rubbing or brushes. When I sampled this at Sephora I noticed it had staying power–it was still on the back of my hand hours later. This will be a repeat purchase.

Great color, easy flow, and stays in place all day!
The color is perfect for my deep brown eyes. It goes on very easily, doesn’t smudge, and stays in place all day. I am 56 and highly recommend it.

Repeat Caviar Stick Purchaser
I have purchased several Caviar Sticks over the past few years. I supplement with less expensive shadow sticks but I had preferred the glide and color deposit of Caviar Sticks to less expensive brands. I received Strike a Rose as a gift a few years ago and LOVED IT (it was as special edition color that was in a special packaging and I continued to hunt for it until it was no longer available). I was thrilled when I saw the shade available again and purchased it as well as Forbidden Rose around Thanksgiving with some birthday money.The first point of difference I noted upon opening is the packaging appears to be different than it has been with prior purchases. I’m not certain it is all of the Caviar Sticks or just these particular shades as I have not purchased a stick in a while. Upon closer inspection of Strike a Rose, I realized that the stick itself was not securely in the packaging. When I opened the cap the product fell out of the tube and landed in my bathroom sink. It was still in one piece so I placed it back in the dispenser (as I said earlier I LOVED this shade and didn’t want to return it and figured it was just a fluke). It wasn’t. I opened Forbidden Rose and the same thing happened, exactly the same way it had with the first dispenser.Another difference from prior purchases is that the tubes themselves seemed a little flimsy prior to the repackage. The cap was more difficult to remove from the dispenser and the twist mechanism seemed to be more loose than with previous purchases. I can’t be certain but like everything else there seems to be slightly less product in each dispenser. I also noted that the boxes the dispensers arrived in, while shinier than prior purchases, were open on both dispensers when they were delivered. And the product seemed a little less creamy than before, which may explain why in both dispensers the product either broke away from itself or the dispenser itself (Strike a Rose was released from itself and part of the product had melted into the cap and Forbidden Rose fell out completely from the dispenser). Because I had hunted for these shades I am making do with what appear to be product changes, but at a price point of $33, to say I am disappointed is an understatement.When using each of the products, I no longer put the cap on securely. It’s on, but not snapped shut. I’m always afraid that on a hectic morning of hasty application I’ll have the same experience I had when I opened them for the first time but with less time to put the product back in the dispenser.I had not had the presence of mind to take photos, but they would have appeared almost identical to the ones I have seen that others have shared. I work in the beauty industry and have experienced many product repackages and reformulations. Some are for the better while others fall flat. And for the reasons I have previously stated with my own experiences of the product, I hope these issues will be addressed sooner rather than later. In the meantime I may use this as an opportunity to see what other options are available.
