No pain with good results
I was tired of the endless cycle of shaving and the expense of waxing so I decided to finally try an at home IPL device. I chose this one by Mindrain specifically because of the ice cooling feature and I’m glad I did.The device itself is lightweight and fits comfortably in my hand. The display is clear, making it easy to see which mode and energy level I’m on. It’s very straightforward to use. I started on level one to be cautious and have since worked my way up. I use the auto mode for large areas like my legs and it makes the process go by much faster. For more precise spots like my bikini line and underarm, I use the manual mode.I was prepared for some pain but I barely feel anything. The cooling plate touches my skin right as the light flashes and it just feels like a cool mild snap. I have had no redness, no burning and no irritation at all so far, even on sensitive areas. This feature makes the whole process comfortable and genuinely painless.I’ve been following the instructions, using it three times a week for about six weeks now. I shave first, then use the device. I can already see a significant reduction in hair growth. The hair that is coming back is much finer and patchier and in some spots, it’s not coming back at all. Being able to achieve these results at home, on my own schedule, is a huge win.All in all, if you’re tired of shaving or waxing and want a truly painless and effective at home solution, check this one out. Thins hair and slows regrowth
I’ve used this a number of times now and it is definitely thinning the hair in those areas – some still grows back but more slowly than in areas where I haven’t used it and there seem to be far fewer active hair follicles in the treated areas. It’s moderately easy to use and I found it only mildly painful on the higher settings and could barely feel it on the lower settings. It’s pretty sturdy (I’ve accidentally tested that by dropping it a couple of times while contorting to get awkward spots on my legs) and looks sleek and is a pretty color, if that matters to you.I haven’t had professional laser hair removal done but my impression is that you can get similar results if you’re willing to spend a lot of time using it. I’m fairly lazy about hair removal, especially in winter, so I haven’t been using it often enough to see really dramatic results, but I have a lot less leg hair than I used to and that’s a win!I’m a wimp about my armpits and am still working up the courage to try it there. 😂 I wish I could also use it on my arms but I have a lot of tattoos on my arms so that’s not an option. I have some tattoos on my legs as well but I can work around those easily enough as long as I’m paying attention.I think it’s a decent little device and fairly priced, so if you have the time and motivation to use it regularly and don’t mind slow progress, give it a try! If you want super efficient fast removal it’s not the right tool for the job, but it also costs a fraction of what that sort of treatment costs and you can do it at home while watching a movie which is a definite plus.

Instructions are lacking, could use more buttons.
The instructions don’t actually explain much of anything. You can’t tell what the power modes do. There’s only 2 buttons and it requires a complicated ritual of button presses and button holds to change modes. It’s needlessly complicated, especially considering those modes aren’t well defined.I like that it has some level of safety considered in that it doesn’t flash if it’s not pressed against skin. I like the form factor, it’s smaller than other similar devices. It looks pretty good and appears to do what it says it does. The cooling feature works really good, it never gets too hot to use.

This IPL hair removal device is a promising and user-friendly tool for at-home hair removal! The overall look of the device is sleek and modern, and the quality feels very durable and well-made. I’m especially impressed with the comfort level—it is almost completely painless, and the ice cooling feature really does help a lot to keep the skin comfortable during treatment. It is also very, very easy to use, with simple controls for the 5 levels and 2 modes. While I haven’t been able to truly measure it’s effectiveness yet, I know this is a process that takes time to show permanent results, and I find the initial results promising enough to definitely keep using. Considering the professional features like the cooling system, I think this is a great value for the money compared to salon treatments.

I was skeptical, but this works impressively well with consistent use. The cooling feature minimizes irritation almost entirely. The flashes are quick, strong, and cover wide areas efficiently. After a few weeks, regrowth slowed noticeably. The design feels solid, and it’s surprisingly quiet. A great alternative to expensive salon sessions if you don’t have the money for it. this is a good budget option.
