I bought the LAVENDER “essential oil.”I only bought this brand because the delivery day worked well with my upcoming surgery day. I needed it in less than 2 days. It said it was lavender essential oil. At worst, I thought I’d get a diluted version, but at least it would smell like lavender.I’ve tried about 5 different brands of lavender essential oil in the 4 oz. size and done well each time.This brand smells so bad to me. It’s a fruity smell, like bubble gum, mixed with a medicinal smell, almost like a cheap floor wash or laundry booster. It’s not BAD, in that it is somewhat floral, but this is definitely NOT LAVENDER. It smells like a pre-teen girl’s perfume. I know lavender can vary, but this is some weird scent nowhere near lavender.I can’t return it, because I’ll be in the hospital for over 4 weeks. And I would just get another bottle of this unusual smell. It makes me a bit nauseous.I feel cheated, both out of money and time, but mostly out of a nice soothing lavender scent while I’m recovering in the hospital.**NOTE**This is made in China. I understand lavender oil could be shipped into China to make perfume, etc. But to import it only to resell it, seems not cost effective and plain silly.I should have checked origin country on this product. I’ve never heard of China’s fields of lavender. I now can see why.I gave it one star for at least being an oil!

Update: when I smelled the oil in the bottle, it was unpleasant and I immediately started a return. After a while I noticed that the spot I got a drip of the oil on smelled like lavender and it was fine. I canceled the return. I just got it. I opened it looking forward to the soothing scent of lavender, but there is an unpleasant underlying odor. I’m not sure why, but this is not what I wanted at all.
