I will never stop hunting for this body butter, why is it so hard to find??! I am about to write a concerned letter to the CEO because if this disappears I’m not going to be a happy lady! I found this 14+ years ago and NOTHING has compared as far as “clean” and “natural” products go. It used to say “Firming and Toning” on the front, and I have no idea why they changed that because it is one of the only natural products I’ve tried that acheives that for me. Maybe people were disappointed it didn’t work literal miracles?!I am a 37yr old mama of 5 with Irish genetics, have lost 90+ lbs, and have very thin skin, wrinkly scars all over my whole belly, now crepey skin over the neck and face and thighs. I have VERY hard country water which is very drying, and that is disaster for thin fair skin. I put this EVERYWHERE (including neck and face after a pure rosehip oil serum) and wake up with supple, silky soft, SMOOTH feeling skin! It is totally non-greasy and leaves a delicious satin finish when it dries, my husband LOVES the feel and scent 😉 Nothing this side of heaven is going to reverse age and life experience from your skin, but this stuff FEELS AMAZING and makes me feel more confident with my clothes off. If you dont like it send your bottle to me!!

Fragrance is strongly intoxicating to me and this moisturizes deeply
I already purchased SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Body Wash & Deep Moisturizing Lotion and loved it so much that I decided to purchase their body butter too. This lotion is absolutely divine scent-wise and moisturizers deeply.The fragrance is balanced yet intoxicating. To me the scent is lightly sweet and tropical I do not smell the coconut but instead detect a scent that is predominantly pineapple even though that is not an ingredient in this product. I normally do not like sweet smelling fragrances at all, but this one has a perfect balance.I would definitely purchase this again as the body butter is great for winter; not so much for summer due to the thickness of the moisturizer. On the negative side, it is difficult to squeeze the lotion out of the tube due to the tiny hole in the cap and the thickness of the product. I wish it came in a tub like the Camille Beckman Glycerine Hand Therapy product I love.

seems like a good lotion. it’s paraben free etc. i tried it on a part of my hand and did not like the smell. it reminded me of liquid advil. not an overwhelming smell like some lotions but you can definitely smell that you’ve put on lotion especially if you are putting it on multiple body parts, not just hands. it states that its cruelty free and made in the usa. appears to be a quality lotion. am going to try a different smell to see if i like it any better.

Excellent for Eczema
I have also reviewed this on their company website. I came across this coconut hibiscus body butter while browsing a CVS waiting for med pick up one day. I had an 18 month old daughter with terrible eczema and had tried over 30 products on her skin (I journaled them all, along with her food consumption, in an effort to figure out the causes). She is now 3 yrs old and I’ve been purchasing nothing but Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Body Butter for her skin ever since, and now I buy 3 at a time from Amazon when I need it as it beats the pharmacy price. When my daughter flares (rare now that we know her triggers), 4X daily application helps soothe her skin back to normal. Otherwise, she gets this after any contact with water, and about once per day. I sometimes use it on my hands when they are particularly dry. We love the light scent, how it rubs in all the way and isnt too greasy, how its not chock full of man made chemicals, and obviously how it works so well on our baby’s inflamed skin.

Very sweet, fruity smell more than coconut, not greasy, came unsealed
I think the lavender scent is more my scent, but I’ll use this coconut hibiscus scented butter lotion, which reminds me more of a pina colada that is heavy on the sweet side. It has a very sweet, fruity candy smell. It also came out of the intact Amazon box unsealed. The seal in the opening was there, but someone had removed the foil tape seal halfway, stretched and punctured it a little and obviously, replaced it back. Hopefully, the person just wanted to test it out and not tamper with the product. It was a designated “add on item” Amazon promotion to get free shipping.. I may be foolhardy, so I decided to chance it and use it, and just trust Amazon on this one, because I don’t want to hassle with returning it. I’ll let you know if the skin on my hands fall off. Normally, if I was in a store, I wouldn’t buy cosmetics, lotions or health products with the seal broken, especially for around $9. Well, actually, I wouldn’t accept it seal brokened for free either out of health concerns. If a friend or family got it this way, I would say be cautious and return it, I gave 3 stars because I like the texture and feel of this topical butter brand more than others. Minus 2 stars for broken seal and the fruity sweet scent, I really have to use my imagination to smell the coconut.

My favorite hand & foot cream
I work with clay and my hands get very dry. I’ve tried many hand creams & lotions and this is one of the best. It works well on dry feet too! I love the scent, but even if I didn’t, it goes away soon after application. This “butter” is quite thick, and leaves your hands a bit “greasy”, but I think that is necessary for good results. It does absorb into the skin, but that takes some time. I think it’s best to use it right before going to sleep at night. If you have very dry hands and feet, you will love this stuff!

Old and Unpleasant Smell
This is my favorite moisturizer. I’ve been using it for several years now because it’s so thick and creamy and it smells FANTASTIC. THIS tube, however, STINKS. The texture is a bit clumpy and it just smells SO bad I can’t stand to use it. Very disappointed.

Meine Frau hat sich die Body Butter auf Empfehlung einer US-Moderatorin bestellt. Die Konsistenz habe ihr sehr gut gefallen, die Butter an sich sei ein gutes Produkt. Der Duft sei allerdings Geschmackssache.

I had high hopes for this lotion, but after using for about three weeks I must say I’m not impressed. It hydrates just ok, and the scent is very flowery, which bugs me. The worst part is the strange consistency -almost like curdle yogourt. It doesn’t seep into the skin, but feels like it’s just sitting on top. Not sure if I got a bad batch, but I can get much better lotions at the drug store for half the price. Won’t be buying again.
