High quality, lightweight, moisturizing, non-greasy, and AFFORDABLE squalane oil
This product is fantastic. Honestly, it’s better than fantastic. Could it be, dare I say, a Holy Grail?I have sensitive, acne prone, oily/combination skin with rosacea and I have SUCH a hard time finding a traditional moisturizer that isn’t too heavy and doesn’t break me out, but is also hydrating enough to keep my skin from drying out and getting flaky. A few months ago I was really struggling with yet another bout of congestion and irritation and I decided to forget “moisturizer” all together and focus in on maximizing my hydration levels with toners/serums. Immediately my skin starting looking calmer and clearer, but I would still end up feeling slightly dry and tight by the end of the day and in the morning when I woke up.Enter The Ordinary Squalane Oil.This stuff is amazing. I started mixing a couple drops of squalane in with a small amount of my favorite toner (Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner) in my hands and gently pressing it into my skin it all over my face as the last step of my routine. Within like, 48 hours my tightness/dryness had completely disappeared. Seriously, I am not exaggerating. My skin felt so comfortable and just like, “normal”. Not too oily or too dry or too suffocated, just healthy. Sometimes I’ll pat an extra drop of the oil in around my more sensitive areas like my eyes and mouth if I want a little extra nourishment, but most of the time I don’t feel like I even need it.The oil itself is really lightweight and not greasy feeling at all. Most oil type products sit on top of my skin and feel suffocating, but this one sinks right in. It feels almost like it’s just a natural a part of my skin that’s supposed to be there. And really, that “my skin but better” feeling makes so much sense because squalane is just a more stable, (and in this case) plant derived version of squalene (with an E) which is a naturally occurring lipid found in our skin.Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone with sensitive and/or acne prone combination skin who is looking for lightweight, non-greasy facial oil with a natural, skin-like feel.

Oh, heck yes. Super effective!
Skin concerns: 40s, dry in a dry climate. Rosacea. Sensitive, at times raw due to dryness in a dry climate and rosacea flares.This is a FANTASTIC product.After using Vanicream’s face lotion, I was noticing a dramatic difference in the skin on the back of my hands where I pat excess skincare products (not acids though!). I saw that an ingredient no other product I’ve used has is squalane. I’d heard before that that is a really hydrating ingredient, so I chose to conduct an experiment and add the pure oil into my routine.I use this by adding 6 drops to said face lotion, combining in my palms and spread on my face evenly by rubbing my palms on my face. It’s very easy to apply. It’s extending how long the bottle of Vanicream lasts. I’ve used this once daily, twice on days I don’t leave the house, for a month or so and the bottle is half empty, so this goes a long way.I’ve noticed a change in my skin hydration. This hasn’t caused any breakouts. Squalane doesn’t feed any skin bacteria or fungus, so if you’re wary of any oils due to any previous increase in acne, use this with confidence.This doesn’t cause milia on my eyes, a problem I’ve had before with occlusive barriers. It doesn’t sting if I get right up to my lash line.It gives you a nice glassy glow, but doesn’t give you that fried chicken look.As with any oil, you can’t use it with sunscreen as it compromises the effectiveness of it, which is why I don’t use it in the AM when I’m going to leave my house.I can’t speak one way or the other regarding purity, but I trust in The Ordinary to have exactly what it says it is on the bottle. They are a reliable brand, but do your research before adding any skincare product to your routine, be nice to your skin! As this is not an active, it is safe to use with no ramp up.5/5 purchase and I will buy it again!

Great face oil
This oil works great on my eczema face. It absorbs well and is not overly greasy. If you have dry skin don’t hesitate. I will buy it again.

Makes my skin look moisturized
I saw the product on a u tube video about make up application. This product does help foundation go on smoother. I have dry and sensitive skin. Does not irritate my face and moisturizes it. The true test of this product is my friends noticed how much better my skin looked. It’s worth a try fit the price.

Seems nice, but not sure of effectiveness
This is the first time I’ve ever tried squalane. So far I’ve used half the bottle. I think it’s nice! But I’m just not sure if I’m noticing a real difference. Taking a break from it now and then I’ll go back to it again to see if I can notice a significant improvement in hydration. It leaked a little during shipping.

This is the best moisturizer I have ever used. This keeps my dry skin well hydrated and can be used over makeup to prevent it from looking dry and caked. You can’t beat the price point or quality and I will continue to purchase

Swear by this oil!
This is the only product that combats flaky skin on my face in the dryer months. I found this oil a couple years ago and can’t switch away no matter how many fancy products I try. It does initially feel oily but soaks in very nicely soon after.Make sure to use a SPF moisturizer over the top of it in the summer months. I did not my first summer using it, and was aggressively tan lol

ch habe mir das Squalane-Serum von The Ordinary ursprünglich nicht für die Gesichtspflege gekauft, sondern wegen eines sehr trockenen, schuppigen Haaransatzes (vor allem vorne an der Stirn), der sich in den Wintermonaten stark verschlimmert hat.Ich massiere seitdem morgens und abends jeweils 2 Tropfen direkt in den Haaransatz ein. Trotz sehr dünnem Haar fetten die Haare überhaupt nicht – das war mir besonders wichtig. Bereits nach ca. 3 Tagen waren die Schuppen verschwunden und die Kopfhaut fühlt sich deutlich beruhigter und angenehmer an.Mittlerweile nutze ich das Serum zusätzlich für das gesamte Gesicht (meist abends). Die Haut ist extrem weich, gut durchfeuchtet und fühlt sich gepflegt an, ohne zu glänzen oder schwer zu wirken. Ich hatte bislang keinerlei Hautreaktionen.Was mir außerdem positiv auffällt:sehr ergiebig (man braucht wirklich nur wenige Tropfen)geruchsneutralzieht gut einvielseitig einsetzbar (Haare, Kopfhaut, Gesicht)Für mich ein überraschend vielseitiges Produkt, das besonders bei trockener Haut und Kopfhaut in der kalten Jahreszeit überzeugt. Ich werde es definitiv nachkaufen.

Io lo uso per fare lo scrunch del cast sui capelli ricci, e devo dire che è eccezionale praticamente per tutto. È un olio delicatissimo, non di quelli che ti lasciano sporco di unto. Io ne uso due o tre gocce e si assorbono benissimo.

Listen boys, you may not want to hear it but you need a skincare routine, and this stuff is your answer. I get really bad flaking underneath my facial hair, especially right after I shave in the winter months. There’s nothing worse than wearing a black polo shirt full of face dandruff because you live in Canada where the air dries you out like beef jerky.I’ve tried beard oils and moisturizers and moisturizers FOR MEN (lol) and none of it did anything except add time to my morning routine and disappoint me with the lack of results. Until squalane.Two drops rubbed into the skin under my goatee, and NO MORE FLAKES. So I figure, why stop there? A few more drops massaged into the rest of my face after a shower, and HOLY **** SOFT SKIN. It takes like 30 seconds, and makes my skin look like Emily Ratajkowski’s without getting oily at all. I’m even using it on my ashy eczema-ridden elbows to stop the itching. I’m Clean, Clear, and Under Control™ and haven’t had a pimple in months.It’s cheap, scentless, simple to use and it has literally one (1) ingredient. I bought it to address my weird flaky beard skin and now use it as my go-to moisturizer because it’s just that good. Also, it’s amazing how impressed women are when you tell them you have a skincare routine. The bar is literally on the ground but you better bet I’m picking it up and my skin is going to be soft af while doing it.
