I’ve been using this mostly after showers and it’s one of those creams that feels noticeably more moisturizing than your average lotion. It has a thicker texture, but it spreads easily and absorbs pretty well without leaving that heavy greasy feeling.After a few days of using it, my skin felt softer and a little more smooth overall. It’s not something that gives instant dramatic results, but with consistent use you can tell it’s helping with hydration and skin texture. It contains ingredients like peptides and hyaluronic acid, which are commonly used to help improve elasticity and keep skin hydrated over time.My wife tried it too and she liked how it made her skin feel the next morning. She usually doesn’t like thick creams, but she said this one settles in nicely and doesn’t feel uncomfortable. Fantastic Body Lotion That’s Better Than Most Face Creams
Right away I have to tell you that I love this Asterwood body cream. And I know you (probably) don’t know me, but if you did, you’d be surprised. I’m more of a luxe skincare person, and this price point is definitely outside my usual lane. But that’s the whole point of Vine. Every once in a while something shows up that completely resets your expectations.❤️ Asterwood is one of my biggest finds through Vine. I’m so surprised that such high quality skincare is available at this pricepoint. Asterwood constantly surprises and delights me. Really.💗 And at any price, this Asterwood cream is fantastic. I use it on my hands, upper arms, neck, and decollete, and the texture is exactly what I want in those areas, smooth, elegant, and instantly flattering. That “almost‑crepiness” that can show up in certain lighting just disappears, and everything looks plumper, firmer, and generally healthier without any heaviness or oily residue.💛 I am so impressed with how quickly my skin absorbs this, and the fact that my skin keeps looking better every day I use this cream made me stop and look at the ingredient list. This is definitely not the standard “here’s a body moisturizer in a tube” moment, there’s real skincare happening here.➡️ FYI, I didn’t realize this until a while ago, but a lot of the key ingredients that modern skincare relies on come from a handful of global cosmetic science companies, most of them based in Europe.➡️ The firming complex in here, LIFT Oléoactif, is one of those newer, next‑generation actives. It comes from Hallstar, which happens to be based in Chicago but collaborates heavily with European labs and uses a lot of European green‑tech extraction methods. You would definitely know the names of the brands that use Hallstar actives in their skincare.➡️ LIFT Oléoactif is actually pretty new, so I hadn’t heard of it before, but I’d bet we’ll all be seeing it show up in more skincare formulas soon. It firms and smooths without acids or retinoids, which means no increased photosensitivity. I really avoid retinoids when I can because I don’t need more sun damage on my skin. And this to me is key, because I can use this cream on exposed areas (like my hands) during the day without worrying about irritation or sun‑reactivity, and that alone puts it in a different category for me.💚 The rest of the ingredient list is also really good, Matrixyl 3000, made by Sederma, a French cosmetic science company known for pioneering peptide technology, handles the collagen‑signaling side of things, niacinamide keeps tone and barrier comfort in a good place, squalane gives that soft, conditioned finish, and the overall base feels more like face care than body care.💜 This body cream comes in an easy‑to‑dispense tube with a full foil seal under the flip‑cap top. If you get this, check yours before you put it away, and make sure that foil seal is still intact. I don’t like getting products that have been “tested” or handled before they reach me. Yes, that has happened to me too.🩵 The bottom line is this is Asterwood body lotion better than a lot of actual face creams I’ve used, and I use expensive ones. It’s also fantastically better than most body care, especially at this price. The fact that I can use this day and night, on exposed areas, without worrying about photosensitivity makes me love this cream even more.💙💙💙 Thanks for reading all the way to to the end of this long review. 2 pack firming body cream
I’ve been using this for a few weeks, and will update once I’ve finished the bottles, but here is my current opinions. First, and the main reason for the low score, this product does NOT go far. An 8oz bottle didn’t last long because you have to use so much to cover an area. Which is surprising, given that the lotion itself isn’t incredibly thick or pasty. It’s got a smooth texture and goes on no greasy. I do appreciate the moisturized feeling I have after using it, but I can’t attest to its firming qualities, as I haven’t noticed any changes there.The scent is very mild and pleasant, no complaints there at all!I also like that it is not a pump bottle, but a squeeze bottle. I feel like I’ll actually be able to get out all of the product.Overall, I like the feel and way this moisturizer works. If I notice any changes in my skin tone after finished the 2 bottles, I would absolutely buy again.
